Its late, so i’ll keep it short..

I need alerts sent to my phone (Blackberry) whenever the price of a pair rises or falls below a certain level. If i constantly watch the screen i probably wont have enuff nails to bite.

Tools im using;
MetaTrader 4 - Free from interbankfx.com
Blackberry 8700
CWJ Webmail + Gmail combination

The setup for MetaTraderTools -> Options -> Email tab

Check Enable 

SMTP Server: mail.cwjamaica.com:25
Login: youremail@cwjamaica.com
Password: yourpassword
From: youremail@cwjamaica.com (has to be the same as SMTP login or it wont work)
To: mygmail@gmail.com (i use gmail, because it works better with my Blackberry.. my preference)

Click Test/ OK.. and you should be good to go.

Now you can indirectly monitor your trade. Might take some experimenting, but thats another day.

According to scam.com, forexclown.com and couple other sources - forexbastards.com was/ is a scam. That review was from 2006?!? I know for a fact, ppl were fooled by it.. hm, blind leading the blind :-\

This is all abit much right now.. its 1:00am and im talking to myself?!?!?!

Before i start real trading i need to find a suitable piece of software to start with. So far i’ve been playin around with MetaTrader & Oanda FXGame.

Over at Interbank Fx, they use MetaTrader for their platform. In my opinion, its pretty easy to use to navigate. Takes about 4hrs to familiarize yourself with the interface. You can get a copy from: http://www.interbankfx.com

Oanda: Everyone recommends them.. and being the wagonist i am… i opened an a/c on their practise platform: Oanda FXGame (http://fxtrade.oanda.com/fxgame)

So far, this software leaves “alot” to be desired. Long story short, you will need to read the manual in order to get started (outrageous). After you get started, you’ll need to change the defualt graph to Candlesticks… otherwise you wont know whats going on, or not going on. Its in the manual.

What else…

The buttons on the left side dont work (Analysis, FxNews, History, Forums, FXTrade)???

Maybe in the live environment its different, but sorta pointless to have it there and we cant use it. Only thing you can do is Buy/ Sell..  i guess this should be your main objective as a beginner?!?! Next…
